Pahang has a new attraction for visitors. It is the Gambang Water Resort.
Gambang, used to be sleepy small town locate about 19 miles from the capital Kuantan. It is on the old road from Kuantan to Temerloh.
The new park occupy an area of 60 acres. Within it situated a large 20 acre man made lake, with natural beauty. It is complete with modern facility for water sport and a larg 25,000 sq ft of wave pool to emulate the natural wave of the high sea.
Specially for children, a penguin island was made, complete with special play ground for children, called KIdz Zone. It is a constructed river named Typhoon river and a long stretch of man made beaches.
It attract visitors to stay in, the complex is equipped with hotels and food and beverages facilities. Just a distant of about 3 hr drives from Kuala Lumpur, the place is crowded with holiday makers, especially during school holidays and weekend.
