The Pahang flag is the simplest in Malaysia. It consists of 2 color of white and black. Black is the status color of Bendahara, the prime minister under the Pahang Sultanate system, where the sultan was the ultimate power and Bendahara is second. This indicate that Pahang was ruled by the king who was only the ministers status. That was the time when Pahang was under another Sultanante.
White represent the sultan, the Bendahara status was later changed to sultanate, with its own independent position and its own power of the sultan.
LOGO OF PAHANG
The logo consists of 2 different concepts and materials. The middle is the coffee leave made of gold, this indicate that the country was rich in gold. The other meaning was, the weapon made from gold will be able to kill any person even though he had the magic of immortal.
The ivory crossing below the coffee leave is showing the power of the elephants. The state and the kings wanted Pahang to be as powerful as an elephant. In those days elephants were feared in battlefields.
The Arabic letters spells the word " Ya La Tif " means he does it using the soft approach. This means the readerships and the rulers are using the concept and soft approach in the ruling of the state.
