Introduction
Bentong is the gateway to Pahang. It is one of the district of Pahang and the name of a small but busy town, situated about 70 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur. It prosperity comes from the rubber and timber industry.

If you were to walk in the town, you can see a blend of the modern and the pre-war architecture lining its streets. As in other districts in Pahang, Bentong offers its own places of interest.
Bentong as a district, situated on the west of Pahang at the border of Selangor. Much of the lands are hilly, thus an ideal place for the cool hill resort.

Access
The only way to reach Bentong is by road. It is off the tolled east-west highway about one hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. The road condition is good, it can get a bit crowded especially on the weekend as there are many visitors going up to the hill resort of Genting.

Local Attractions
Tourist is becoming more important source of income. Many may not able to relate the tourist destinations of Janda Baik and Genting is within the district of Bentong. These destinations are more known to foreigners than Bentong itself.

At the height of 6000 feet above sea level, it maintain a cool temperate climate making it an attractive destination for tourists.It started as a gambling resort and acts as the biggest contributor of income to the state of Pahang. Now, Genting has added other facilities as a family resort and a theme park. The cable car travelling on tops of the green jungle is one of the popular destination.
It is estimated that about 20 million visitors come to Genting every year. Gentig is managed by Resorts World Berhad. It is only about 50 km from Kuala Lumpur and the route will take about 1 hour.

Beside the normal convention halls in hotels, Genting is also equipped with the biggest Asian Convention facility known as Genting International Convention Centre (GICC). It can fit 6000 participants.

Is a small traditional village in the highland. It become a destination to escape the hassle of city living. It is more like a place to be close to nature, with running streams and jungle vegetation. It is also known as the weekend resort for some of the wealthy metropolis, who like to keep a second home in a country surrounding.

The highland with the cool climate and the natural surrounding is a suitable location for weekend retreat for the tired city executives. It is along the still functioning old Kuala Lumpur road. The spring is of the volcanic in origin and the dissolved minerals in the waters are said to be most therapeutic for the body. Surrounded by lust mountain greenery, the springs are an excellent place to soak and relax. E. Lentang Forest Recreation at Park The park is on the motorway. It is a good place for bathing and picnic. The forest reserve provides excellent camping sites for holidaymakers and is an ideal place for both a relaxing and educational outing for the family.
