elephant in Temerloh Pahang

One of the attractions of Temerloh Pahang is the elephants sanctuary. It is popularly known as Kuala Gadah Elephant Sanctuary, located about 2 hrs from Kuala Lumpur.

As the jungle of West Malaysia are being destroyed to make way for the plantation, the elephants have nowhere to go. So they have to be repositioned to a bigger plot of jungle. The sanctuary acts as the training center to prepare the elephants for their new homes.
